The Program for Undergraduate Partner Students (PEC-G) offer learning opportunities for students from developing countries with which Brazil maintains educational and cultural agreements. Developed by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Education, in partnership with public-federal and state universities, and individuals, the PEC-G selects foreigners aged between 18 and 23 (or older in exceptional cases), who have completed secondary education, to undertake undergraduate studies in Brazil.
The selected foreign students are not required to pay tuition fees. However, they must meet certain criteria, such as proof of ability to pay their own living expenses in Brazil, a certificate of completion of high school or equivalent, and proficiency in Portuguese.
Students are preferably selected through socioeconomic development partnerships between Brazil and the countries of origin, as this ensures their commitment to return home, where they will contribute to the fields in which they have graduated.
