Univali Idiomas, Univali’s Language School, teaches English, Italian, French, German, Spanish, and Mandarin, and Portuguese as a foreign language, at basic, intermediate and advanced levels, inspired by the institution’s policy of preparing academics for the world.
Through a permanent extension program that serves the Campuses of Itajaí, Balneário Camboriú and Florianópolis, Univali Idiomas promotes the exchange of knowledge and regional development, offering language courses for students of the university, and the wider community. It also runs instrumental language courses in specialist areas, and special courses on demand, for students of all Univali’s schools.
While studying at Univali, international students take classes in Portuguese, immersing themselves in the Brazilian language and culture. Improving their Portuguese, and learning how Brazilian people think and express themselves will enable International students to become more confident in communicating in the language, enabling them to integrate even more with the local community.
